Proudfoot Store Is Blooming Lovely

The Proudfoot Store in Newby won a prestigious Yorkshire in Bloom 2015 award earlier this month.

The Proudfoot Group’s flagship Scarborough store won the coveted Gold Award and overall Category Winner for Best Large Business for its floral displays around the premises, and was noted for its well designed landscaping and hanging baskets.
Located in the heart of Newby, the local supermarket is the largest of three Proudfoot stores based in the Yorkshire region, sitting on a site of 15,000 square feet. The store has won many awards for its service over the years, previously winning the “Nisa Award for Excellence - Best Supermarket Store”.

The Yorkshire in Bloom judges noted how “Their superb floral displays significantly enhance the store frontage and provide a pleasing welcome to shoppers.” They also drew significant attention to the store’s “magnificent and beautifully maintained” hanging baskets and “pristine condition” of the store boundaries in their Areas of Achievement.

The 2015 Yorkshire in Bloom Annual Awards Ceremony was held at the Yorkshire Racecourse on the 8th September to recognise the regions’ best horticultural achievements.
