Newby
Located in the heart of Newby is the Proudfoot Group’s flag ship store. It is the largest of the four, sitting on a site of 15,000 square feet.
Newby store was first opened in 1965 and was previously run as a corner shop. Over the years Newby store has become a focal point to the Proudfoot Groups success by giving its valued shoppers a large variety of products and a whole host of different services.
The most recent renovation to the store was undertaken in late 2010 when the butchery & deli departments were extended to allow for a much greater range of food, which allowed an already high quality service to be improved further. The Proudfoot Group Newby prides itself on the services offered to the public such as the butchery, which offer top quality meats cut to perfection, and our own home made sausages.
The store has won many awards for its service and recently won "Nisa Awards for Excellence as Best Supermarket Store, 2011". The facilities at Newby also included a large car park and post office.
