Whisky & Wine Training For Proudfoot's Team
In early June NISA member The Proudfoot Group organised a training session at their head office in Scarborough for Managers and Wines & Spirits Department Supervisors.
The day was co-ordinated by Valerie Aston, Proudfoot’s Buying and Distribution Controller, commenting “This is part of our commitment to staff and customers to provide the best possible service in Proudfoot stores.”
Two suppliers were invited; Maxxium and Concha y Toro UK.
Andrew Sinclair, Brands Development Manager of Maxxium, led the session on Sprits focusing on the heritage of brands, production methods and the flavour profiles of the main Scottish whisky varieties.
Laurie Billson, Customer Marketing Manager of CyT led the tasting session on wines of the Americas, and the group were privileged to be joined by Ricardo Orchard from the Cono Sur vineyard in Chile to answer questions on the wine making process, core ranges and food pairings to recommend to shoppers instore.
