£250 MADL Donation To Support For Carers Scarborough
Support For Carers Scarborough has received a charitable donation from Proudfoot supermarkets this month towards their Christmas Party to be held on 19th December.
The family-run supermarket group supported the local charity with a donations of £250 through Nisa’s Making a Difference Locally charity, which raises funds from the sale of Heritage own label products and branded items featured on the Proudfoot promotional leaflet, in addition to funds raised via the four supermarkets’ in-store collecting tins.
Support for Carers Scarborough is a small local charity that provides a volunteer sitting service which enables a carer weekly respite. They also run a friendship group which meets weekly on a Wednesday at 10am at Emanuel St Johns Church, St Johns Road providing support and entertainment for carers and their dependents.
Valerie Aston, director at the Proudfoot Group, added: “We are delighted to be able to use our Making a Difference Locally funds to support Shirley and her team of volunteers.
“We would like to thank our customers for their continued support, through the in-store collecting tins and purchases of selected products in our stores; as without their support these community donations would not be possible.”
