£250 MADL Donation To Macmillan
Proudfoots have donated £250 from their Making A Difference Locally Charity to Macmillan Cancer Support, York, Rydale and North Yorkshire Coast.
Valerie Aston met with Hayley Cooke, Macmillan Fundraising Manager and Jackie Barber, Proudfoot Seamer Store Assistant Manager to present the cheque in front of the Proudfoot Seamer Store.
Macmillan Grants Scarborough support people with cancer and their loved ones who become isolated and cut off from those around them. Not being healthy enough to work and increased expenses such as travel to appointments and high heating bills have a massive impact on peoples quality of life. Financial support can be vital in preventing people affected by cancer from feeling alone.
In 2014 Macmillan gave grants to 57 people in Scarborough totalling £18,934 for clothing, fuel, treatment fares and bedding.
Proudfoot's will go towards making a vital difference to improving the lives of people affected by cancer.
