MADL DIABETES EVENT SCARBOROUGH

The Proudfoot Group was invited by Scarborough, Whitby and Ryedale Diabetes Network to attend their Diabetes Awareness Event at the Spa. 

The Proudfoot Group sponsored the event by donating a range of healthy snacks & food hampers, which were included in the raffle.

The event included information stands and a programme of speakers and demonstrations. Supplying useful information to people with diabetes, families and carers of people with diabetes and the general public. The focus was on giving people the opportunity to learn more about diabetes and its prevention with a focus on healthy eating and exercise.

Other attendees included local slimming groups, local health clubs, the local sports centre, local running and walking groups to encourage the public to eat healthier and increase their exercise. Local schools, pharmacists, community dietitians, podiatrists, GP's, Practise Nurses and the Diabetes Specialist Team were also involved.
