MADL Scarborough Children’s Cystic Fibrosis Fund
The Proudfoot Group has donated £1000 to Scarborough Children’s Cystic Fibrosis Fund. The fund is a continual trust that provides equipment and lessons for over 20 children up to 18 years of age that live with the condition.
The donation will contribute towards purchasing equipment such as bicycles, trampolines and treadmills as well as surf lessons to make activities more fun for the children.
The Proudfoot group raised the £1000 through the Making A Difference Locally (MADL) charity through it membership of Nisa. MADL is an independent registered charity created in 2008 by Nisa with the intention of assisting more than 2000 independent retailers throughout the UK raise money for their local communities. They charity enables retailers to raise money through the sale of participating products promoted in store where a specified amount of the cost of the product is allocated to a fund. Retailers are then able to withdraw at any time and donate to local charities and good causes that they feel would benefit from a donation, in this case Scarborough Children’s Cystic Fibrosis Fund.
Valerie Aston, whom is in charge of the charity scheme within the Proudfoot Group said, "The Scarborough Children’s Cystic Fibrosis Fund provides equipment to make children living with Cystic Fibrosis’ lives more enjoyable and we are extremely happy to be able to contribute towards this with a £1000 donation."
