Proudfoot Give Scarborough Athletic Under 13s Trip Of A Lifetime
Scarborough Athletic Under 13's received a charitable donation of £500 from Proudfoot supermarkets this month towards a tour in Holland.
The family-run Proudfoot supermarket group supported the group through Nisa’s Making a Difference Locally (MADL) charity, which raises funds from the sale of Heritage and Co-op own label products, in addition to funds raised via the four supermarkets’ in-store collecting tins.
Scarborough Athletic Under 13’s are taking part in the Holland Cup Tour in Easter half Term, the team is a 15 strong squad of local children, from Scarborough and Whitby. The Holland Cup Tour has over 200 teams from 15 countries competing in an international competition, the tour is organised by FC Almere and the children will take part in some tough competitive football.
Scarborough Athletic under 13’s are also in the Final of the Hull Knock out cup, they won the competition last year and are looking to retain the title this year too. Scarborough are a development team, concentrating on players development over results, having said that the team this season are currently unbeaten in the league, with most players rotating positions and working to achieve team objectives. The coaches are very excited for the Holland Cup and also to see what the future might hold for these promising young players.
