MADL Donation To Derwent Valley Scout Group

Proudfoot Make Dreams A Reality

Local group Scout Group Derwent Valley have received a charitable donation of £250 from Proudfoot supermarkets this month to help enable them to attend an International Scout camp.

The family-run Proudfoot supermarket group supported the group through Nisa’s Making a Difference Locally (MADL) charity, which raises funds from the sale of Heritage and Co-op own label products, in addition to funds raised via the four supermarkets’ in-store collecting tins.

Sarah Malia from Derwent Water Scout Group “this donation will help us make for 17 of our scouts dreams a reality. We are planning to take them to Peak 20 - an international camp at Chatsworth, Derbyshire 21 July to 01 August 2020.

The donation will go towards the camp fees, transport and food costs for the camp which is going to be over £6000. This will help the  17 scouts learn life skills while making memories.

“We would like to thank our customers for their continued support, through the in-store collecting tins and purchases of selected products in our stores; as without their support these community donations would not be possible.” For more information on Making a Difference Locally visit or follow @MADLCharity on Facebook or Twitter.
