Proudfoot Support RVS Sight Loss
RVS Sight Loss have received a charitable donation from Proudfoot supermarkets this month to allow members who are visually impaired or blind to take part in activities such as cycling, football, golf and sailing.
The family-run supermarket group supported the local cause with a donation of £150 through Nisa’s Making a Difference Locally charity, which raises funds from the sale of Heritage own label products and branded items featured on the Proudfoot promotional leaflet, in addition to funds raised via the four supermarkets’ in-store collecting tins.
Tony Mollica from RVS Sight Loss said of the donation: “Thank you to the Proudfoot Group for the donation. We have 30 members and growing, and the donations will help our group to do activities such as cycling with adapted bikes, sailing, climbing and more - all outings that help to reduce isolation and promote socializing and wellbeing.”
Valerie Aston, director at the Proudfoot Group, added: “We are delighted to be able to use our Making a Difference Locally funds to support RVS Sight Loss.
“We would like to thank our customers for their continued support, through the in-store collecting tins and purchases of selected products in our stores; as without their support these community donations would not be possible.”
