£450 MADL Donation to 15th Scarborough Guides
15th Scarborough Guides has received a charitable donation from Proudfoot supermarkets this month towards coach hire for a trip to Norfolk early in 2019.
The family-run supermarket group supported the local charity with a donation of £450 through Nisa’s Making a Difference Locally charity, which raises funds from the sale of Heritage own label products and branded items featured on the Proudfoot promotional leaflet, in addition to funds raised via the four supermarkets’ in-store collecting tins.
Girl Guiding is the largest voluntary organization for girls and young women in the country.
Girls take what they do in guiding with them as they grow up. They develop the skills and confidence that they need to reach their potential - as students, colleagues, parents, friends and citizens - and become the young women that they want to be.
Petra Jackson, Guide Leader who runs the group said “We would like to thank Proudfoot for their support as all donations are gratefully received.” “We like to ensure that all our members can afford to come and are working to ensure that costs for the trip are subsidised as much as possible through fundraising activities and donations.”
Valerie Aston, director at the Proudfoot Group, added: “We are delighted to be able to use our Making a Difference Locally funds to support 15th Scarborough Guides and hope they have a wonderful trip.”
“We would like to thank our customers for their continued support, through the in-store collecting tins and purchases of selected products in our stores; as without their support these community donations would not be possible.”
