MADL Eastfield Fresh Expressions

The Proudfoot Group have donated £250 to the Fresh Expressions Project in Eastfield, were they provide debt and pregnancy crisis advice to those who need it.

The project aims to support, serve and encourage all who need help within Eastfield and try to be 'Jesus at work' in the community. The project hopes to support many people through community action, practical witness and by working with and sign posting relevant local agencies in order to provide help and support on a whole range of issues.

The project is solely based in Eastfield and currently offers debt advice at Eastfield library on Thursday mornings but will soon be transferring to Westway house located next to the Holy Nativity Church to support people in the area in various ways.

Valerie Aston of the Proudfoot Group said, “We are pleased to be able to make this donation to the Eastfield Project, to provide this service to those people in Eastfield that need extra support. The project really does make a difference to the local community and The Proudfoot Group are proud to be able to help."

John Freeman of the Fresh Expressions Eastfield Project said, "We would like to thank the Making A Difference Locally Charity and The Proudfoot Group for selecting us to receive this kind donation. This money will be used to help people struggling with debt problems and those who need support due to pregnancy. The Fresh Expressions team is working closely with the Rainbow Centre in Scarborough to develop these services."
